According to Wikipedia, Hanlon’s razor is “an aphorism expressed in various ways including ‘“Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity,’” or ‘“Don’t assume bad intentions over neglect and misunderstanding.
In part 2 of this primer we talked about the two ‘simplest’ stud variants, Razz and Stud. If you missed that you can check it out here. Now we super glue them together.
Part 1 of this HORSE primer was dedicated to the flop-based games limit HoldEm and Omaha-8. Most people have experience with these games as card rooms everywhere offer them.

Shuffle Up and Meal
I don’t know what it is about poker players, but as a group we tend to be more receptive towards eating nice meals than other groups of people. It probably has to do with dealing with large sums of money fluctuating rapidly, but in any case during the WSOP it seems to be a month straight of gambling, grief, and grub. A lot of people have told me they really don’t like Vegas because they don’t like it during the WSOP. This saddens me, mostly because I think Vegas has a ton to offer and I spend as little time on the strip as necessary. If you’re going to spend time at the WSOP this year, do yourself a favor and rent a car or spend a bit on cab fare and check out these amazing local Vegas dining spots.
Blockers in PLO
I started playing poker in 2005, when the best strategy advice on the internet still included a hand rankings chart. PLO wouldn’t become huge for a few years and it was very rare to have someone talk about card removal as being a valuable concept to learn.
Reality TV: The One Time Poker Players Can Deal with Reality
It was recently announced that David Williams, of 2004 WSOP ME runner up fame, is going to be a contestant on this season of Gordon Ramsay’s MasterChef.
The WSOP 2016 Schedule at a Glance
The time to simultaneously suffer from heat exhaustion and hypothermia at the Rio is almost here.
If No Limit Hold’em is the Cadillac of poker, Limit Hold’em is the Toyota Camry.
